What happens next?
Once you have entered the site, you will be able to complete a self assessment with respect to Depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Trauma History, Substance Abuse, and General Psychological well-being. You may chose to complete all the questionnaires or limit yourself to one or two depending on how you feel at the moment. You may return to the website more than once. Once you have completed an assessment scale you will be given immediate feedback on what your scores signify. Depending on these scores, you may be advised to make an appointment with your doctor or the person co-ordinating your Employee Assistance Program.
It is important to note that this website is not meant to provide a comprehensive evaluation of your mental health. It is not a substitute for a more detailed face to face assessment with a mental health specialist. It is simply meant as a guide to help you assess how you are faring emotionally when far from home and in situations that may contain many dangers.
The self assessment includes the following topics:
- A Demographic Sheet
- Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Depression
- General Psychological well-being
- Trauma History
- Substance Abuse
Note:
Every questionnaire, apart from the demographic sheet is optional. You can take the assessment more than once, although you should wait at least one month before doing so.
